About
The Methods Center and the Information Systems and Machine Learning Lab (ISMLL) at the University of Hildesheim are hiring a PostDoc (TV-L E 13, 100%, 3-year fixed term) in modern AI methods.
Role
The position combines research and service: roughly two thirds of the time are dedicated to joint research with the ISMLL, led by Lars Schmidt-Thieme and Tom Hanika. Core topics include deep learning, neurosymbolic reasoning, time series, generative AI, and explainable AI. The remaining third involves consulting and knowledge transfer on AI methods for researchers across all disciplines at the university.
Requirements
- Completed PhD (preferably in computer science)
- Publication record in AI
- Hands-on experience with common frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Ability to communicate complex technical content to interdisciplinary audiences.
- Very good German and English skills are required.
