Job Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6 Months+
• Capacity: 3 days per week
• Location: Remote
• Languages: English (fluent) / German (nice-to-have)

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters (including upgrades and patching)
• Implement automation using Kubernetes operators, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
• Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning (including query optimization)
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Ensure security, access control, and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Strong PostgreSQL expertise (replication, high availability, performance tuning)
• Solid Kubernetes experience (stateful workloads, storage, networking, operators)
• Cloud and DevOps knowledge (e.g., Terraform, CI/CD, public cloud platforms)
• Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, logging stacks)
