About the role
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade analytics solutions using the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, complex dataflows, and high-performance semantic models within an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabric Architecture & Engineering: Design and maintain end-to-end data solutions using Fabric components, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, and OneLake.
- Complex Dataflows: Build and optimize Dataflows Gen2 and complex Power Query (M) logic for reusable, multi-layered data transformations.
- Semantic Modeling: Develop advanced semantic models using Direct Lake mode and Tabular Editor to ensure sub-second report performance on large datasets.
- Data Pipeline Development: Use SQL and Python within Fabric Notebooks and Data Factory to orchestrate complex ETL/ELT processes.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications.
Required Technical Skills
- Power BI Mastery: Expert-level DAX (measures, calculation groups) and visual storytelling.
- Microsoft Fabric: Hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory, Notebooks, and environment governance.
- Advanced SQL: Proficiency in writing complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
- Programming: Strong Python skills for data manipulation and automation within a Spark/Fabric environment.
- Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of Star Schema design, Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Power BI development and data engineering.
- Agile Proficiency: 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
- Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).
Projects
- Enhancements of existing enterprise dashboards (Financial, operational, and project performance)
- Development of office attendance/management reporting
- Working in shared environments.
