What to expect
- You will support the development, further development, and operation of our Smart Data Platform, the central data platform of AXA Germany.
- In one of our agile squads, you will work in interdisciplinary teams of Data Engineers, Product Owners, Information Architects, and Data Experts, as well as closely with the business departments.
- You will participate in the development of data products using the Data Mesh approach.
- You will support the setup and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines and the integration of different data sources.
- You will help create and further develop data models and learn modern modeling methods.
- You will gain insights into modern Data Engineering technologies such as Snowflake and dbt.
- You will work in an environment with flat hierarchies and, depending on your experience, gradually take on your own task packages.
What you bring
- You are in your fifth semester (or higher) of studying (Business) Informatics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable quantitative degree program with a data focus.
- You are available immediately for 4-6 months.
- You are interested in data processing, data modeling, and cloud technologies.
- You have practical experience with SQL and ideally Python.
- You have a basic understanding of databases and ETL/ELT processes.
- Ideally, you already have initial contact with cloud data platforms or tools like Snowflake and dbt.
- You have analytical thinking skills, a structured way of working, and enjoy technical challenges.
- Very good German and good English skills complete your profile.
