Position Overview
The Pre-Construction Manager will oversee the planning and execution of pre-construction activities for various projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are meticulously organized and aligned with client expectations. This role is vital in establishing a solid foundation for successful project delivery in commercial, educational, municipal, and multifamily sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pre-construction phase of projects, including estimating and budgeting.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop project scopes and timelines.
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather bids and proposals.
- Utilize ISQFT and other estimating software to provide accurate cost assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards throughout the pre-construction process.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project decisions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and other team members to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in pre-construction or construction estimating.
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools, including iSqFt, Microsoft Office Suite, and takeoff software
- Experience estimating commercial, educational, municipal, and multifamily construction projects.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
