The Solution Engineer plays a crucial role in aligning innovative strategies with technology solutions within complex environments. You will partner with clients and work collaboratively with internal teams and C-level contacts to drive consensus on comprehensive technology solutions across Salesforce's product lines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Address complex business problems by conducting thorough research and assessments to define challenges, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Guide clients through decision-making processes by evaluating and communicating solution options, fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Showcase how connected experiences can be realized through Salesforce solutions via software demonstrations and prototypes, including creating future state customer journey strategies.
- Assist customers, Account Executives, and Professional Services in identifying and recommending strategic solutions that are personalized to meet their specific challenges and objectives.
- Discover customer needs and position the appropriate Salesforce solution to fulfill their business goals.
- Develop and deliver customized demonstrations tailored to various customer profiles that illustrate how Salesforce accelerates their strategies and delivers value.
- Convey a deep understanding of the customer’s architecture and needs as they relate to Salesforce solutions.
- Organize and lead cross-functional solution discussions, aligning them with sales strategies.
- Develop and narrate compelling stories about customer experiences enabled by Salesforce technologies.
- Engage in all necessary product, sales, and procedural training to acquire and maintain essential knowledge for success in this position.
- Willingness to travel as needed based on territory alignment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience. Candidates will be evaluated based on their core competencies (including extracurricular leadership roles, military service, and work experience).
- Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technologies.
- Strong communication skills in oral, written, and presentations with ability to collaborate effectively.
- Team-oriented with the capability to solve technical issues in diverse political environments.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certifications.
- Previous experience as a solution or sales engineer in CRM or a similar technology field.

The typical base salary range for this position is $88,970 - $244,510 annually, with different ranges applicable to specific locations like California, New York, and metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC. Please note, the range represents base salary only and does not include bonuses, incentives for sales roles, equity, or benefits.
