Job Description

Salesforce is seeking passionate Pre-Sales Solution Engineers to join our growing Informatica Pre-Sales Solution Engineering team, pivotal to our success. In this role, you will be crucial in providing technical sales support to our sales teams and aligning our innovative solutions with our customers’ visions. Your technical expertise will be indispensable throughout the sales cycle, aiding customers and supporting Account Executives. You will excel by conducting technical discovery, presenting product demonstrations, providing Proof of Concepts, leading technical workshops, and making architectural recommendations that bridge technical solutions to business outcomes.

Your Role Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct all pre-demo activities, including discovery, technical qualification, customer presentations, and standard demos.
  • Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents.
  • Independently manage customer engagements.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to enhance our products.
  • Share insights, best practices, and resources within your area of expertise.
  • Stay updated with required certifications in your area of responsibility.
  • Team up with the Customer Success Management (CSM) team on nurturing activities, such as technical advisory and workshops.
  • Gather customer feedback on product gaps via specified channels.
  • Support demonstrations at marketing events independently.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 4-8 years in data integration, master data management, or data governance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in presales, technical sales, industry roles, or consulting.
  • Basic understanding of hybrid software deployment, data warehousing, databases, and business intelligence software concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one Informatica-related software platform/technology.
  • Strong storytelling skills and experience engaging with prospects on relevant use cases.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%) and work flexible hours.
  • Basic knowledge of the top three cloud ecosystems and leading data technologies is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of cloud computing security aspects is a plus.
  • Certification in at least one cloud ecosystem and one data-related cloud technology at the level specified by the business area.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, evaluated based on competencies such as leadership roles, military experience, volunteer activities, and work experience.
