Job Summary

The Presales Solutions Engineer - Cybersecurity is a vital role that involves working closely with customers to design and implement robust security operations solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of how Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Operations (SecOps) technologies align with business and security objectives.

As a subject matter expert, you will excel in SIEM platform engineering, guiding clients through log source onboarding, detection and correlation rule development, content management, and performance tuning. You will also integrate these solutions with other critical security technologies such as SOAR, EDR/XDR, and threat intelligence.

This role is remote but may require residing in the Central or Northeast region of the U.S. based on business needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with account teams to assess and understand client cybersecurity needs.
  • Engage with clients at various levels, including CIO, CSO, and Security Engineers, to cultivate strong relationships and align with their objectives.
  • Enhance your knowledge of SHI's offerings through ongoing training and self-study.
  • Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solutions, delivering engaging training sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date on technology trends and market developments to maintain your industry expertise.
  • Conduct self-study and independent work in lab environments to deepen your technical skills.
  • Create compelling collateral to support cybersecurity sales initiatives.
  • Develop use cases in the SHI lab to enhance sales engagement outcomes.

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years in a similar presales engineering role.
  • 5+ years in a technical cybersecurity position.
  • 3+ years in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
  • Willingness to travel for customer and partner events.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, including base salary and potential bonuses. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and market factors. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
