About the role

Overview

In this role, you serve as a customer-facing endpoint security expert who guides security projects with a consultative approach and a broad view of how security tech enables business. You’ll build and deliver new security services offerings aligned with client opportunities. This is a remote role with occasional reporting to the Austin, TX office as needed. You will partner with client stakeholders to advance security goals, educate sales teams, and develop collateral and use cases to support cybersecurity engagements. You will help SHI stay ahead on trends and solutions while strengthening customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CIO/CSO/CISO, security engineers, and procurement to strengthen client relationships and understand goals
  • Learn SHI service offerings across solution practice areas via training and self-study
  • Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling through 1x1, team, and company sessions
  • Stay current on technology trends and market landscape
  • Conduct self-study and hands-on lab work to deepen security knowledge
  • Develop collateral to support cybersecurity sales engagements
  • Create use cases in the SHI lab to bolster sales opportunities

Requirements

  • Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS
  • Strong endpoint security knowledge including EDR, EPP, XDR
  • Ability to communicate and sell complex cybersecurity products/services
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years in a technical cybersecurity role
  • 3+ years in Security Pre-Sales Consulting
  • Advanced certifications in CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or similar preferred
  • Travel up to 20% for client/partner engagements
  • Extended hours for special projects
