Job Summary
The Presales Solutions Engineer - Security Operations/SIEM is a critical role that involves collaboration with account teams to assess customer cybersecurity needs. This position requires a consultative approach to provide expert-level knowledge in cloud security. The engineer will devise new security service offerings to cater to unique customer requests and opportunities.
This position is remote, but candidates may need to reside in the Central or Northeast region of the US for business needs as determined by SHI management.
- Engage with account teams to evaluate customer cybersecurity technologies and needs.
- Build relationships at various levels of client organizations, including CIOs, CSOs, CISOs, Security Engineers, and procurement teams to enhance customer interactions and understand their objectives.
- Stay informed about our services by participating in training sessions and independent learning.
- Educate sales teams on effective cybersecurity solutions and technology fundamentals through personalized and group training.
- Keep abreast of market trends and shifts through ongoing research and study.
- Engage in self-directed learning and practical application in lab settings to enhance job-related skills.
- Create collateral to support cybersecurity sales engagements and bolster team effectiveness.
- Develop practical use cases in the SHI lab to aid in sales demonstrations.

Qualifications
- Experience in identity management and security solutions.
- Deep understanding of identity governance, including IAM, PAM, IGA, SSO, MFA, CIAM, CLM, and PKI.
- Strong presentation capabilities to run demonstrations on identity security solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A proactive attitude towards problem resolution and research.
- Ability to foster relationships and a passion for technology.
- Strong documentation skills including system/network diagrams and presentations.
- General familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, HITRUST, and CIS.
- Expert knowledge of security solutions is a must.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or certifications from Cyber Security OEMs.
Other Requirements
- A completed Bachelor's Degree or applicable work experience is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role.
- 5+ years in a technical cybersecurity role.
- 3+ years in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
- Willingness to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, which includes a base salary plus bonuses. Compensation will vary based on individual knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
