About Canalini Consulting Group
Canalini Consulting Group is the leading provider of AI, Governance, Azure, and Microsoft 365 solutions for Am Law 100 and Am Law 200 firms. As a trusted Microsoft partner, we deliver transformative engagements built on Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, Microsoft Purview, Power Platform, Entra ID, and Intune — purpose-engineered for the compliance, security, and operational demands of elite law firms. Our clients are among the most prestigious legal institutions in the world. Our engagements are strategic, high-value, and built on long-term trusted relationships.
Role Description
We are looking for a rare individual — an elite AI architect who is equally at home designing a Purview governance framework for a 2,000-attorney firm as they are presenting an AI transformation roadmap to a room full of managing partners and convincing them to invest.
You will lead client discovery workshops, craft compelling AI use cases tailored to legal operations, and translate complex architectural decisions into business outcomes that resonate with legal executives. Once a deal is won, you will own the solution architecture and work closely with our delivery partner, providing clear, structured specifications and technical oversight that ensure delivery quality and client satisfaction.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, consulting, and practice development. You will be expected to grow our AI practice revenue, build repeatable solution frameworks for the legal sector, and become a recognized thought leader in the legal AI space.
Qualifications
- 8–15 years of enterprise technology experience, with at least 3 years focused on AI architecture and Microsoft AI solutions
- Proven track record designing and delivering production-grade solutions on Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Purview, and Power Platform in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles — you have stood in front of C-suite executives, led discovery workshops, and presented technical recommendations that drove purchase decisions
- Strong business acumen: you understand how law firms operate, how decisions get made, and how to connect AI capabilities to billable hour economics, risk management, and competitive differentiation
- Experience managing or overseeing development teams — you know how to write specs that travel well and conduct reviews that maintain quality
- Exceptional communication skills — you can explain a RAG pipeline to a CIO and a governance framework to a managing partner with equal clarity and conviction
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working with Am Law 100 or Am Law 200 firms, Big 4 legal advisory, or legal technology vendors in an enterprise architecture or consulting capacity
- Microsoft certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Security / Compliance / Identity Associate, or equivalent
- Experience with legal-specific platforms, including iManage, NetDocuments, Relativity, or HighQ — and the ability to architect AI integrations with these systems
- Familiarity with ABA Model Rules, client confidentiality obligations, and the evolving landscape of AI governance in legal practice
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, vector databases, and grounding strategies for enterprise legal knowledge bases
- Active presence in legal technology communities — ILTA membership, conference speaking, or published thought leadership
