About the Role
A few ways our Product Managers help people create meaningful interactions with Capital One:
- Give customers the confidence to apply without rejection with Quick Check, our credit card eligibility tool.
- Enhance the credit card application experience to encourage early adoption of digital habits.
- Manage and scale data and machine learning platforms across the organization to deliver smart, personalized experiences.
- Create easy digital solutions that help customers address fraud and easily get back to using their card.
- Develop assistance programs to help customers who are struggling with their payments.
- Provide customers with relevant details about their account, conveniently within the mobile app.
Your Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas:
Human Centered
- Lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs and drive the long‑term vision for your product.
- Turn customer insights into actionable strategies that define priorities for your team and rally stakeholders to your vision.
Business Focused
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross‑functional team to ensure the right resources are aligned.
- Define KPIs for your product and be responsible for measuring and tracking them, adjusting the roadmap as data dictates.
Technology Driven
- Have an end‑to‑end understanding of your product and its place in the larger ecosystem to anticipate impacts from changes elsewhere.
- Work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand trade‑offs of technical decisions and how they affect the customer experience, always seeking the best tool for the job.
Transformational Leadership
- Rally your teams and senior stakeholders to your product vision and proactively leverage relationships throughout the ecosystem to align to your vision and influence prioritization across partner teams.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Product Management experience with software products.
- Experience successfully delivering a software product.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; able to make data‑driven decisions and provide recommendations to drive action.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience.
- Experience in financial services, technology or operations.

- You’ll work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact the ultimately customer experience your team will deliver always looking to ensure you’re using the best tool for the job
- You’ll rally your teams and senior stakeholders to your product vision and proactively leverage relationships throughout the ecosystem to align to your vision and influence prioritization across partner teams
