Our client is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Principal Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote, international team. This role is paramount in defining, implementing, and maintaining robust security strategies for our client's cloud infrastructure across major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will be instrumental in safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and mitigating security risks in a dynamic and evolving threat landscape. Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing, and maintaining robust security strategies for our client's cloud infrastructure across major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and mitigating security risks in a dynamic and evolving threat landscape.
• Designing secure cloud architectures, developing and enforcing security policies and standards, and implementing advanced security controls.
• Conducting threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security incident response.
• Working closely with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Managing security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, and data loss prevention (DLP) tools.
• Leading the implementation of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, ensuring least privilege access and robust authentication mechanisms.
• Developing and executing cloud security automation scripts and tools to enhance efficiency and response times.
• Staying ahead of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes, requiring continuous learning and research.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to other security engineers and contributing to the overall security strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Extensive (10+ years) experience in cloud security engineering.
• Deep expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of modern security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lead remotely in a leadership position.
