Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant– Project Manager
As a Project Manager supporting the global World-Wide Officers Meeting (WWOM) event series, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless technical execution of one of Client’s most visible and complex leadership meetings. You will operate within the Meetings & Events Technology Services (METS) team – an established team of global technical event professionals and Client's technical partner for AV, networking, meetings services, and hybrid and virtual delivery.
In this role, you will contribute across operational execution, project coordination, and forward-looking planning, helping drive clarity, structure, and proactive risk management for a distributed team of AV/IT project managers.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate recurring WWOM planning rituals, including weekly team meetings, agenda setting, meeting summaries, action tracking, and cross-team communications • Maintain existing playbooks & best practices, and update based on learnings and retros as continuous improvement cycles • Capture lessons learned during and after events; propose improvements to ways of working across regions. • Support preparation of project deliverables including status updates, SteerCo inputs, and leadership briefings • Drive follow-through on open items to ensure deadlines, dependencies, and handoffs stay on track • Support the end-to-end METS budget management cycle, Track budget assumptions, changes, and risks; support monthly budget updates in partnership with F&A and PMs • Partner with the Program Manager to maintain and evolve the WWOM risk register, identifying cross-workstream risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies • Assist with future location analysis, collecting and validating AV/IT requirements, venue constraints, and early-stage feasibility considerations • Explore & experiment with AI powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to re-define our ways of working, automating process steps or entire processes as part of technical event delivery
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. • Experience in project management, technical program coordination, event technology, or IT/operations roles, ideally in complex or global environments. • Experience working with AV/IT vendors, technical requirements, or event operations (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Bringing structure and clarity to complex, multi-stakeholder projects. • Managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables in a fast-paced, global environment. • Communicating clearly and diplomatically with both technical and non-technical teams. • Proactively surfacing risks and driving mitigation actions. • Working independently and taking ownership of defined workstreams with minimal oversight. • Applying technology—including AI tools—to simplify workflows and enhance team productivity • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), Teams, SharePoint; ability to manage structured documentation – ideally with prior experience in a Client engagement • Experience managing budgets, vendor workflows, or procurement processes is a strong plus. • Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate confidently with global stakeholders.
