We’re working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing company focused on VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial automation. With a strong track record across North America, they support a wide range of heavy industrial applications.

The Opportunity

This is a senior role with real ownership.

You’ll take the lead on how engineering is done, from design standards to validation and product development. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys improving processes, working closely with production, and having a direct impact on outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Establish and implement structured engineering processes
• Drive:
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM / DFX)
  • APQP and product development standards
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and safety requirements
• Standardize tools and workflows (EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical)
• Lead design validation (calculations, documentation, testing)
• Work closely with production to ensure designs are buildable and scalable
• Act as the technical lead for complex decisions
• Mentor and support the engineering team
• Troubleshoot technical issues and guide solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• P.Eng required
• Strong background in power electrical systems
• Experience with:
  • Product design (not just project work)
  • Design for manufacturing
  • Engineering validation and calculations
• Familiar with APQP, FMEA, and control plans
• Experience with CSA, UL, CE, and IEC standards
• EPLAN preferred (AutoCAD Electrical acceptable)

Compensation & Benefits

• $140,000 – $160,000 base salary (with flexibility based on experience)
