Princeton’s Engineering & Infrastructure Operations Department is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our nonunion, full-service team. Under the direction of the Assistant Municipal Engineer, the Principal Engineer shall lead and/or perform planning, design, permitting, and construction management of capital infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or perform planning, design, permitting, and construction management of capital infrastructure projects.
• Prepare or take the lead in the preparation of complex contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist in preparing grant applications and grant management.
• Inspect or manage the inspection of the equipment, methods, procedures, supplies, and materials used by the contractor to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, or related science field.
• EIT certificate or evidence of FE passing required; Professional Engineering license desired.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in increasingly responsible charge.
