About the Position

Passaic County is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Principal Engineer, Bridges within the Engineering Department. This position is responsible for supervising and performing professional engineering work related to the planning, design, inspection, and construction of bridge projects. Work includes oversight of consultants, coordination of construction activities, and administration of state and federally funded projects.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Bridge analysis, design, and rehabilitation, including preparation of design calculations and construction contract documents
Knowledge of NJDOT design standards, specifications, standard construction details, and Local Aid/grant processes
Familiarity with construction administration and project management practices
