Principal Engineer (Data & Platform)

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Data & Platform team in Berlin. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our data infrastructure and platform capabilities, enabling us to scale our operations and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize data models and warehousing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Engineer with a focus on data engineering and platform development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Expertise in data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, and RAG is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
