About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of hydraulic, hydrologic, stormwater, transportation drainage, floodplain mapping, and dam-related projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Provide technical direction and perform/review modeling and analysis using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D steady-state including bridge/culvert and floodway modeling), HEC-1, PondPack; 2D modeling experience preferred.
- Support NJDEP permitting efforts, including NJAC 7:8, 7:13, and 7:20 (familiarity with 7:7, 7:7A, and 7:50 preferred).
- Serve as client and regulatory agency contact, particularly with the NJDEP.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated transportation and water resources solutions.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, stormwater management design, transportation drainage, floodplain analysis, and dam inspection/analysis.
- New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations and permitting processes, including NJDEP's new PACT / REAL rules.
- Proficiency in HEC software, HydroCad, PondPack, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, GIS/ArcMap, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical, and technical writing skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and teams.
Compensation & Benefits
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $110,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
