Principal Engineer - Offshore Foundations

Functie • Lead the safe and validated design and execution of offshore foundation engineering solutions from concept through offshore installation. • Provide expert guidance on complex cross-disciplinary engineering challenges and support strategic technology decisions. • Drive innovation initiatives and technology development programs to strengthen long-term engineering capabilities. • Evaluate engineering solutions considering commercial impact, reliability, risk management, and industry reputation. • Represent the organization as a technical authority in offshore foundation technologies and related disciplines. • Collaborate with industry partners, research institutes, and external stakeholders to advance technological development. • Identify and implement innovative engineering approaches that challenge conventional offshore foundation solutions. • Monitor readiness in key strategic technology areas and initiate improvements to close capability gaps. • Supervise external technical subcontractors and ensure alignment with strategic project objectives. • Provide technical insights and strategic advice to management regarding technology developments and project outcomes.

Profiel • MSc or PhD in Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering. • Strong expertise in offshore foundation engineering, including monopile design and offshore geotechnical analysis. • Extensive experience delivering complex offshore engineering projects or technology development initiatives. • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical and commercially viable solutions. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience advising senior leadership. • Demonstrated leadership within multidisciplinary engineering environments. • Fluent in English with the ability to collaborate internationally. • Passion for technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
