Principal Engineer, Health
About the role
About the job
As the Principal Engineer for Health you will drive and execute the technical strategy for Google Search's critical Health engineering space. This is essential to Google not only because Health is now a Google-level OKR, but also because it directly and critically impacts user trust, safety, and the long-term continued utility of Search in the high-stakes health information domain. In this role, you will need to build a strong, small core Health team within Search (spanning roughly 10+ people), but work across a horizontal engineering group across Search and the company. You will contribute to the long-term strategy for Search, influence DeepMind, and be accountable for the strategic direction, cost, methods, and overall performance of the Health engineering organization.
In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.
