Position Overview
Engineering Director – Minneapolis, MN
We’re seeking an Engineering Director in Minneapolis, MN to lead and grow our thriving Midwest practice, guiding a talented team delivering innovative projects that make communities more livable. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who enjoys big‑picture thinking, building and mentoring teams, pursuing and winning work, and consistently exceeding client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Mentor staff and project teams while overseeing the design and delivery of high‑quality multimodal transportation projects.
- Work alongside Midwest leadership to shape and implement regional marketing and growth strategies.
- Identify key pursuits and strengthen client relationships.
- Leverage understanding of local agencies, decision‑makers, and regional standards to achieve success.
Requirements
- PE license and local/regional consulting experience
- 15+ years in multimodal design, including conceptual design and construction documents
- 10+ years in project/design management and business development
- Expertise in street design, construction documents, cost estimating, and permitting
