Principal Engineering Lead, AI Enabled Solutions

About

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled enterprise platforms, from early architecture to production. You will bridge AI engineering, software architecture and data science to build scalable, secure systems. You will implement embeddings, retrieval patterns and model tuning within ML infrastructure and set MLOps standards. You will coach engineers across functions to translate complex AI concepts into practical plans. This is a chance to shape enterprise AI at scale within a leading data, insights and consulting firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled enterprise platforms from architecture to production
• Develop and improve applied AI solutions including embeddings, retrieval patterns and model tuning
• Define engineering standards for MLOps: CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and reliability
• Architect secure, cloud-native services (microservices, APIs, messaging/event-driven patterns) for AI workloads at scale
• Coach engineers and collaborate across Engineering, Data Science and Product to turn AI concepts into delivery plans

Qualifications

• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML and generative AI solutions (LLMs, embeddings, retrieval patterns, vector search, model fine-tuning)
• Strong MLOps knowledge across CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, evaluation
• Experience with AI infrastructure (orchestration pipelines, GPU compute, model hosting) and scalable AI data structures (vector databases/semantic search)
• Deep software engineering in .NET Core/C# with ability to work across Python/Go/TypeScript
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native patterns, and data stores (SQL/NoSQL)
• Secure coding mindset with awareness of cybersecurity risks around AI and data privacy
• Proven technical leadership at principal/tech lead/architect level with mentoring experience
