Principal Frontend Developer (Angular)

PRINCIPAL DEVELOPER (ANGULAR)

Our client is excited to hire a Principal Frontend Developer with deep Angular expertise to help design and scale a cloud-native, API-driven platform. This role combines hands-on development with architectural leadership and mentorship across agile teams. You will serve as a senior technical leader, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing solutions across multiple business domains.

What You’ll Do • Lead frontend architecture and hands-on development using Angular (v12+) • Design and implement scalable UI solutions integrated with RESTful APIs • Contribute to enterprise-level architecture and cross-team platform decisions • Serve as a technical subject matter expert within your domain • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and coaching • Collaborate with backend, QA, and Product teams to deliver high-quality releases • Champion best practices in performance, testing, security, and maintainability • Contribute consistently to sprint deliverables while maintaining architectural standards

What You Bring • 10+ years of software development experience with a focus on frontend/UI technologies – JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS • 5+ years of hands-on Angular experience (advanced routing, NgRx, RxJS, performance optimization) • Strong TypeScript skills and experience building scalable component architectures • Experience designing and maintaining shared Angular component libraries • Preference for familiarity with Nx, Webpack, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code • Experience designing RESTful APIs and working within cloud environments (Azure preferred) • Background in enterprise-scale systems, including microservices and monolithic architectures • Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring others • Bonus for backend development proficiency in C# .NET Core (full-stack capable/frontend focused)
