Are you a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to take on a principal-level leadership role within complex industrial projects? If you are confident approving designs, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring technical excellence across all project deliverables, this opportunity could be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Approve, guide, and review engineering designs, calculations, and design development to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, scopes, and manage scope variations with supporting documentation
• Oversee drafting deliverables and provide technical direction to the design team
• Develop and approve technical documentation, material take-offs, scopes of work, and equipment specifications
• Evaluate vendor tenders, coordinate inter-discipline technical integration, and ensure engineering outputs align with scope, cost, and schedule

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years’ post-graduate experience in a senior mechanical engineering role
• Registered ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
• Strong technical aptitude with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and mentor engineers-in-training
• Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality engineering outputs within budget and schedule constraints

Qualification

• Minimum BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
