Join the GE Aerospace Digital Workplace team as a Principal Software Architect - Microsoft 365 Ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with various teams to enhance productivity, collaboration, and engagement tools, ensuring a seamless and modern experience for our global workforce of over 60,000 employees. Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Solution Architecture, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining our Microsoft 365 ecosystem, significantly contributing to the success of our organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with engineering, product, and operational leaders to advance GE Aerospace's Digital Workplace ecosystem.
• Architect and oversee the deployment of essential collaboration, productivity, and device management tools across the M365 environment.
• Create scalable architecture solutions tailored for multiple M365 tenants, adhering to regional regulatory requirements.
• Support the transition of GE Aerospace as an independent entity by analyzing current product offerings and defining a visionary future state for the Digital Workplace.
• Facilitate technical and business discussions to shape the future architecture of Digital Workplace products.
• Make key architectural decisions that influence the technology landscape of our products and services.
• Produce and deliver architecture artifacts that effectively communicate vision and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 best practices.
• Collaborate with operations teams to enhance system performance through continuous application improvements.
• Ensure that all designs uphold stringent cybersecurity and compliance standards for safeguarding sensitive GE Aerospace data.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 10 years of professional experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 13 years, or a High School Diploma with at least 15 years of experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise SaaS and/or cloud infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Microsoft Intune.
• Note: Military experience will be considered equivalent to professional experience.

Desired Characteristics

• Proven experience implementing Microsoft 365 solutions in large enterprises (50,000+ users) is highly desirable.
• Experience managing multiple Microsoft 365 technologies, including Intune, Purview, SharePoint, OneDrive, and others.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 device orchestration and security features.
• Background in developing M365 architectures during M&A activities.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as CMMC, ITAR, and GDPR.

• Prior experience with Digital Workplace services is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills with effective communication and analytical abilities.
• Competence in balancing stakeholder value and delivering recommendations across a matrixed environment.
• Adept at managing complex projects and integrating diverse systems for optimized processes.
• Strong technical and analytical acumen.
• Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proactively resolve project obstacles for team efficiency.
• Capacity to assess technology for feature development aligned with organizational goals.

Additional Information

The base pay for this position ranges from $152,000 to $202,000, influenced by the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Applications will be accepted until May 15, 2026.
