Responsibilities

• Steer the team's objectives and technical vision to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Communicate intricate features and systems clearly and effectively.
• Stay informed on industry and company trends to evaluate and foster new technologies.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to elevate the team's performance and overall effectiveness.
• Identify and advocate for new opportunities within the organization and guide the prioritization and staffing of these initiatives.
• Lead the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for significant cross-company projects.
• Collect, synthesize, and recommend requirements to create an impactful feature roadmap.
• Diagnose and address performance and scalability challenges, championing large-scale efforts to minimize technical debt.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in mentoring and influencing executive stakeholders across various organizations.
• Skilled in leveraging data and analysis to elucidate technical issues and propose solutions.
• Proficient in cross-functional collaboration to drive effective solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language or 8+ years with a PhD.
• Demonstrated success in planning a multi-year roadmap that aligns short-term projects with long-term organizational goals.
• Experience leading extensive cross-functional engineering initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in programming languages like C, C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin, as well as scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or Hack.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in developing large-scale applications or related fields.
• Ability to enhance quality through meticulous code reviews, comprehensive testing, proper rollouts, monitoring, and proactive modifications.
• Proven experience integrating AI tools to streamline or redesign workflows with measurable outcomes, such as efficiency and quality improvements.
• Commitment to responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Continuous development of AI skills, including prompt engineering and staying updated with emerging AI technologies.

Public Compensation

$219,000/year to $301,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
