About the role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Technical Recruiter to lead their talent acquisition efforts in the fast-paced Fintech sector. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Nigeria and contribute to building high-performing teams for innovative financial technology companies. You will be responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle, from developing sourcing strategies and engaging passive candidates to managing the offer process and fostering strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates. This role requires a deep understanding of technical roles within Fintech, including software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, and product management.
Key responsibilities include: partnering closely with hiring managers to understand their technical talent needs and develop effective recruitment plans, identifying and engaging top-tier technical talent through various channels (LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, Boolean searches), building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline, managing candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding, developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to attract hard-to-find skill sets, tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics to optimize processes, and contributing to employer branding initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical recruiting, with a significant portion focused on the Fintech industry. Proven success in sourcing and closing senior-level technical roles is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are paramount. A strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to effectively screen technical candidates are required. You will be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess a keen ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, dynamic environment.
