About the role

Your Role

This is a new and exciting opportunity as global AI Data Center Power Distribution System Application Engineer (SAE G) in Consumer, Computing and Communication (C3) segment. The focus is to enable system-level understanding of Data Center power distribution from grid to rack, supporting G2M success through structured technical insights and scalable deployment.

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Provide structured application-level technical input to G2M strategies with AMG and support cross-region alignment
  • Develop and deliver scalable application-level technical collaterals
  • Support design-in and design-win activities through system-level technical proposals and customer engagement via regional team
  • Understand customer applications, system architectures, and power distribution from grid to rack
  • Understand customer system partitioning and validation methodologies (power conversion, thermal, protection) and support regional implementation
  • Organize and support global 3rd-level technical support with defined descalation governance
  • Collaborate with divisional and regional teams on system-level concept validation, prototyping, and solution optimization for deployment
  • Contribute to global system-level training initiatives and technical knowledge sharing
  • Consolidate structured technical feedback from customers and regions to SMD / Divisions
  • Support system-level innovation and application know-how development through cross-functional project

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor and/or power electronics industry
  • Strong understanding of power conversion topologies and system-level architecture design (AC/DC, DC/DC)
  • Proven experience in system-level applications, including hardware and/or software integration
  • Experience in relevant areas e.g. data center, power distribution, solid state transformer is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of magnetics design (transformers, inductors), EMC/EMI considerations, and converter design
  • Experience with system-level modelling, simulation, and concept validation methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate system requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment across divisions, regions, and sales
  • Self-driven, structured, and able to operate under ambiguity in a fast-evolving environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to ~30–40%)
