PROCESS ENGINEERING INTERN [1 YEAR CONTRACT]

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in documenting production processes and SOP's / WI / PI
• Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies
• Support continuous improvement [Lean / Kazen] initiative
• Assist in root cause analysis for production and quality issues
• Collect and analyse data for reporting
• Support implementation of process improvements
• Work with production teams to improve workflow and productivity
• Assist with development WI / PI / SOP's and visual management tools
• Monitor process compliance and report deviations
• Participate in daily / weekly / monthly production meetings

Desired Experience & Qualification

• National Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Process Engineering
• Currently entrolled or recently completed
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
• 0 - 1 year's experience
• Knowledge of process mapping [flow charts, SOP's]
• Time studies and work measurement technique
• Basic data analysis [Excel, reporting]
• Understanding Lean Manufacturing principles
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Team-work ability
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a production / manufacturing environment
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to wear PPE and comply with safety requirments
