The Opportunity
We are seeking a Process Engineering Manager to play a highly visible and impactful role within the organization. This individual will sit at the intersection of engineering, quality, and operations, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) while driving process integrity, compliance, and execution.
This is not a purely technical or back-office role—this person will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations, working cross-functionally with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth product launches, accurate documentation, and high-quality output.
This role reports directly to the VP of NPI and offers the opportunity to operate with significant ownership and influence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Change Management
- Own and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from initiation through completion
- Assess required changes, track status, and provide updates to stakeholders
- Ensure alignment between engineering, production, and documentation
BOM & ERP Management
- Perform Bill of Material (BOM) audits on new and active jobs to identify discrepancies
- Execute BOM updates within the ERP system across jobs, quotes, and templates
- Ensure accuracy to prevent delays during pilot and production phases
Quality, Compliance & Audits
- Coordinate and support UL audits (UL 508A) with Field Engineers
- Lead containment and corrective actions for any non-conformances
- Maintain communication between UL, customers, and internal teams
- Manage calibration tracking and compliance for tools and equipment
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams
- Support customer requests for quality documentation (FAIRs, CoCs, testing certs)
- Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues
Documentation & Training
- Develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation
- Train employees on testing procedures and process standards
- Support document control and delegate tasks to document specialists
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality environments
- Strong understanding of BOM structures and ERP systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution
Preferred
- Experience with UL standards (UL 508A) and audit processes
- Experience with calibration tracking and compliance
- Leadership or supervisory experience (training, delegation, mentoring)
- Experience supporting NPI or production environments
