Are you a commercially minded professional who can turn innovation into scalable business impact? Fugro is seeking a Product Commercialisation Manager to accelerate the market uptake of our marine ecology and geo‑data solutions across Europe and beyond. In this strategic role, you will bridge innovation, clients, and (cross-)regional commercial teams to ensure new Climate & Nature offerings achieve real‑world adoption.
Your Role
As Product Commercialisation Manager, you will drive the commercial success of Climate & Nature solutions by shaping go‑to‑market strategies, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring client needs translate into scalable products.
You will:
- Lead the commercialisation of new solutions, including value propositions, pricing, packaging, and sales enablement, aligned with our overarching Climate & Nature and regional go-to-market strategies.
- Engage closely with clients, partners, and regional sales teams to convert pilots into long‑term business.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with research institutes, NGOs, technology providers, and public agencies.
- Co‑lead European grant‑funded proposals and projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, ESA) and ensure strong stakeholder engagement and post‑project commercial pathways.
- Work with R&D, product teams, and data scientists to align technical developments with market needs and refine solutions based on client feedback.
- Support sales teams with demonstrations, proposals, and integration into broader Fugro offerings.
This is a client‑facing, market‑shaping role with regular travel (primarily in Europe).
What you bring along
You bring:
- A master's degree in marine ecology or a related environmental field; a business degree is a plus.
- 5+ years' experience in technical-commercial sales, business development, or market development roles within geo‑data, water, or environmental sectors, and a strong relevant network.
- Experience with digital platforms, EO‑based services, B2B environmental solutions and public procurement.
- Proven success in forming consortia, securing competitive funding, and building partnerships with public‑sector stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of coastal and marine geo‑data applications (e.g., habitat mapping, shoreline change, climate adaptation) and familiarity with marine ecosystems and policy drivers (including EU regulation).
- Advantageous: experience with GeoAI, national geospatial platforms, public procurement, and blue‑economy or NbS‑related initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional EU languages are a plus.
