Product Cyber Security Engineer (m/w/d) Freelance

About

For a project in the industrial environment, we are looking for an experienced Product Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d) Freelance to support the security of networked products, machines, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Threat and Risk Assessments / TARA
• Anchoring Secure-by-Design principles in the development process
• Accompanying the Secure Software Development Lifecycle
• Defining and testing security architectures and cybersecurity requirements, e.g. for Embedded Systems, IoT, and Cloud interfaces
• Managing product-related vulnerability management
• Coordination with Information Security Officers on IT and OT security
• Coordination of external penetration tests and security audits
• Training and awareness for product managers and development teams

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Electrical Engineering, or comparable qualification
• In-depth experience in Product Cyber Security, ideally in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 27001, or ISO 27005
• Technical know-how in cryptography, secure boot, PKI, as well as network and bus systems
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CSSLP are an advantage
• Analytical approach and ability to present complex security topics in an audience-appropriate manner

Project Details

• Project duration: approx. 12 months
• Start: as soon as possible
• Location: approx. 40% remote, 60% on-site (depending on project requirements and phase)
