Join Our Dynamic Team as a Product Design Specialist for our shade-product division!

Position Summary

We are seeking a creative and hands-on Product Design Specialist who is passionate about transforming concepts into functional, market-ready products. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company where engineering meets imagination.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and test new outdoor home improvement products, from concept through production, working primarily with aluminum, vinyl, and fasteners.
  • Enhance existing designs for improved performance and aesthetics.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts using hand and power tools, operating shop equipment such as drill presses and punch presses.
  • Create and update 3D models, drawings, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with production, installation, sales, and marketing teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
  • Research materials, suppliers, and technologies to ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry.
  • Maintain safe and clean work areas while upholding Craft-Bilt's high-quality standards.
  • Occasionally travel to dealer sites or training seminars.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in product design, fabrication, carpentry, or related trades is a plus.
  • A strong mechanical and design aptitude with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Comfortable using CAD software (such as Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD) and hand/power tools.
  • Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, especially regarding aluminum, vinyl, and fasteners.
  • A creative problem-solver who excels at turning ideas into real, functional products.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
