Product Design Engineer – Custom Made Windows , Doors, Interior Panels

About Our Client

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made architectural Windows / Doors / Panels with custom-made designs, size, colours. All configurations are customer driven.

Role Overview

They have a job open for Product Design Engineer - Design & Engineering Changes (ECR/ECO) in the Brampton - Mississauga, ON area. This role is responsible for creating new drawings from scratch for custom-made / customer configuration fabricated products in plastics, metal wood and similar and be fully responsible for ECR-ECO process. This is on-site 5 days a week.

Product Design

• Create Product design, drawings for custom made products / configurations led by customer
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, design rules, and option logic.
• Support product changes ECR and enhancements, ensuring downstream impacts to configuration logic and BOMs are fully understood and addressed.

Configuration, BOM & CPQ Ownership

• Develop, maintain, and validate BOM structures and configuration logic for complex engineered products.
• Own configuration testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards and business rules.
• Act as a subject‑matter resource for product configuration behavior and system logic.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical.
• 4-5 years of design experience from custom made products ideally direct to consumer with wood, plastic, metal furniture/ doors / windows/ panels and similar
• Strong understanding of product design principles and product configuration concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with BOM management, configuration logic, and testing.
