The Impact You'll Make

• Contribute to the design of digital products from wireframes to prototypes.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers.
• Participate in user research, usability testing, and design iterations.
• Contribute to design systems and brainstorm innovative product features.
• Internship duration is 12 weeks, based in Dallas.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Currently pursuing education in design, human-computer interaction, or related field; graduating Fall 2026 through Summer 2027.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to create visually compelling designs.
• Passion for solving user problems and enhancing user experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong alignment with Nextdoor's mission and purpose.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
• Participate in user research sessions and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and other designers to iterate and refine designs.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to enhance the user experience.
• Support the design team in maintaining and evolving the design system.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new product features.

Compensation

• Salary of $3,033 paid semi-monthly plus a semi-monthly housing stipend of $1,000.
