Product Designer (0→1, Mobile-first Consumer Product)

Aumraa

On-site Full-time Entry Level 2d ago

About the role

Location

Gurgaon, Haryana | Full-time | In-office | Alternate Saturdays remote

Please read before applying

This is an early-stage, high-ownership, 6-day work week role . It is best suited for people who want to build fast, think deeply, and be closely involved in shaping a product from the ground up. If you are looking for a highly structured environment, a slow pace, or are not comfortable with a 6-day in-office setup (with alternate Saturdays remote) , this role may not be the right fit.

Who we are

Aumraa is building a mobile-first faith-tech product for modern Indian users — bringing together rituals, spiritual guidance, sacred commerce, and community into one seamless experience.

Why this role is exciting

Most design roles ask you to improve screens. This one asks you to help shape the product.

At Aumraa, you will work on questions like:

  • How do you design trust in a category where emotion, belief, and intent matter?
  • How do you simplify complex journeys without making them feel flat?
  • How do you create clarity for users across rituals, discovery, guidance, booking, and commerce?

If you enjoy products like Blinkit, Zepto, Zomato, Uber, Urban Company, Airbnb, Duolingo not for how they look, but for how clearly they think , you’ll likely enjoy this role.

What you’ll do

  1. Solve product problems, not just design screens
  • Work directly with the founder to turn ambiguous ideas into clear product flows
  • Think through user problems, product logic, trade‑offs, and experience design
  • Design journeys, not isolated pages - from entry point to completion to repeat use
  • Help define how the product should behave, not just how it should look
  1. Design core product journeys
  • Design end‑to‑end flows across onboarding, discovery, search, booking, checkout, profile, dashboards, repeat use, and retention
  • Create thoughtful UX for first‑time users, returning users, uncertain users, and drop‑off moments
  • Solve for edge cases, empty states, error states, loading states, confirmations, and behavioural nudges
  • Make complex journeys feel intuitive, lightweight, and trustworthy
  1. Bring strong product thinking into design
  • Ask the right questions before jumping into Figma
  • Balance user needs, business goals, technical feasibility, and operational realities
  • Identify friction, confusion, and conversion gaps in flows
  • Suggest better product decisions, not just prettier UI
  1. Design with speed and clarity
  • Move from rough thinking to wireframes to polished UI with strong judgment
  • Create mobile‑first interfaces that feel clean, calm, and easy to use
  • Build flows and screens that engineers can actually ship well
  • Work fast without losing depth
  1. Collaborate deeply with product and tech
  • Partner closely with founder and engineering through ideation, refinement, handoff, QA, and iteration
  • Document interactions, states, behaviours, and logic clearly
  • Support implementation to ensure the shipped product matches the intended experience
  • Be involved in design reviews, prioritisation, and product discussions
  1. Learn from users and improve live product
  • Participate in lightweight research, feedback reviews, and usability discussions
  • Use user behaviour, founder insight, and product signals to improve flows
  • Iterate continuously instead of treating design as a one‑time output
  • Help build a strong product taste across the company

What we’re looking for

We care far more about how you think than how many years of experience you have.

You may be a fit if:

  • You have strong product design fundamentals
  • You think in terms of flows, user behaviour, states, and decisions , not just UI screens
  • You can simplify complexity without oversimplifying the product
  • You know how to ask “what is the real problem here?”
  • You have a strong eye for structure, clarity, hierarchy, and interaction
  • You are comfortable working in ambiguity and figuring things out

You could come from a background in:

  • Product Design
  • UI/UX Design
  • UX Design
  • Consumer app design
  • Startup/founding designer roles

Strong freshers / junior designers with exceptional thinking and portfolio quality are welcome.
