Product Designer
McGrocer
About the role
We are looking for an exceptional Product Designer to help design an AI-native commerce platform from the ground up.
This is not a traditional ecommerce UI role.
You will design systems that combine:
• AI-assisted shopping • commerce • logistics execution • operational automation • agent-driven interactions • customer-facing infrastructure
The platform handles complex operational workflows behind the scenes, but the customer experience must feel simple, intelligent, and seamless.
We need a designer who can think beyond screens and create experiences around:
• systems • workflows • automation • operational edge cases • AI-assisted decision making • execution infrastructure
What You’ll Work On
Customer Experience
• AI-assisted product discovery • Cart and checkout experiences • Landed-cost and duty visibility • Country-specific compliance messaging • Agent-assisted shopping experiences • Order tracking and fulfilment visibility
Operational & Execution Infrastructure
• Internal operational dashboards • Fulfilment workflows • Compliance review systems • Logistics and shipping flows • Exception handling interfaces • AI-assisted operational tooling
Product & Systems Design
• Design scalable product systems and flows • Build wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI • Improve UX for complex operational workflows • Create intuitive experiences around technical systems • Work closely with engineers and product leadership
Requirements
Please apply only if you have:
• Strong product design experience for complex digital products • Experience designing production SaaS, ecommerce, logistics, fintech, or operational systems • Strong UX thinking and systems design ability • Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs • Strong Figma skills • Ability to collaborate closely with engineers and product teams
Strong Preference
Experience with any of the following is highly valuable:
• AI-native products or AI-assisted workflows • Ecommerce or marketplace platforms • Logistics, fulfilment, or operations systems • Dashboard and workflow-heavy applications • Data-rich interfaces • International or cross-border products • Agentic or conversational product experiences
What We’re Looking For
We are not looking for:
• marketing graphic designers • landing-page-only designers • purely visual/UI designers without systems thinking
We are looking for someone who can:
• think deeply about workflows • design around operational complexity • understand business logic • collaborate with engineers on implementation realities • create scalable product systems
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited to designers who:
• think in systems, not just screens • enjoy solving operational UX problems • can handle ambiguity and complexity • care about usability and execution quality • understand how product decisions affect operations and conversion
Important
Applications that do not answer all three questions will not be reviewed.
We are looking for:
• systems thinking • product judgment • operational UX understanding • strong execution ability • real product experience
