Your Mission

Join Root for a fixed-term contract (parental leave cover) of approximately 6–9 months and help shape and mature our product suite during an exciting phase of growth.

You’ll take ownership of solutions ranging from farmer-facing tools used across European markets to enterprise platforms serving some of Europe’s largest food industry players. In close collaboration with product and engineering leadership, you’ll help drive product decisions and translate complex problems into clear, scalable experiences.

From day one, you’ll have real ownership and the chance to influence products that impact farmers, supply chains, and sustainability across Europe.

Preferred start date is June 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start.

What You Can Expect

• Own the end-to-end design process. At Root, product designers are generalists. You’ll lead work from discovery and user research through prototyping in Figma and AI-assisted tools, all the way to collaborating with engineers to ship high-quality product experiences.
• Drive product decisions. Partner closely with product managers and engineers to shape solutions, challenge assumptions, and ensure we build the right things for our users.
• Design for real-world complexity. Create experiences used by farmers across 10+ countries (and growing), as well as enterprise teams at some of Europe’s largest food companies.
• Contribute to Root’s design practice. As part of a small and ambitious product team, you’ll help refine how we approach design, discovery, and product development.

Salary

EUR 36000 - 60000 per year
