Product Designer
Wooclap
About the role
Wooclap is a cutting-edge engagement platform trusted by leading education institutions like Polytechnique, HEC or Université Paris Cité and by major companies such as Dior or Vinci.
We’re looking for the Product Designer who will own design end-to-end on the Learning Experience Squad; our most strategic squad, at the heart of Wooclap’s pedagogical product. The Learning Experience Squad is responsible for Wooclap’s pedagogical relevance, focusing on how users interact with their audience and deliver value to both.
You’ll be the only designer embedded in this squad, working as a true partner to the Product Manager and Engineering Manager.
You will report to our Senior Product Designer.
Responsibilities :
Shape meaningful learning experiences
- Design engaging, high-impact live experiences that help educators and trainers better interact with their audience and improve learning outcomes.
- Craft interaction patterns that balance simplicity, clarity, and engagement in real-time teaching contexts.
- Contribute to Wooclap’s core learning mechanics (question types, live interactions, feedback loops).
Drive discovery through design
- Actively contribute to problem framing and product discovery, bringing a strong user-centric perspective to the squad.
- Run your own user research and interviews to uncover insights and validate your hypotheses. You’ll own usability testing of your solutions, with support from the team.
Design with real-world constraints
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to balance user needs, technical constraints, quality, and speed.
- Design for real-time, high-stakes interactions where clarity, reliability, and ease of use are critical.
- Create experiences that work across diverse contexts (lecture halls, trainings, remote classes) and for users with varying levels of digital fluency.
- Turn constraints (performance, accessibility, time pressure) into simple, elegant, and resilient design solutions.
Elevate product quality
- Push for high-quality UI and interaction design, with attention to detail and user delight.
- Create thoughtful micro-interactions that enhance the live experience without adding friction.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system and visual identity.
Grow within the Design team
- Take part in design critiques, sharing your work and learning from others.
- Contribute to improving our design quality, processes, and culture.
- Help evolve our design system and actively support your peers through feedback.
- Grow your craft by working on meaningful, high-impact problems, with guidance from senior designers.
