Product Designer & Manager
Revley
About the role
Revley is a commerce operating system for high-scale subscription brands. We unify payment orchestration across 9+ processors, subscription billing, custom checkout, and chargeback prevention into one platform. Our merchants range from $50K to $20M+ in monthly revenue. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and headquartered in New York City.
The Role
We're looking for a Product Designer & Manager who can own the full product lifecycle - from research and wireframes to shipped features that merchants actually use. This is not a "make it pretty" role. You will define what gets built, why it gets built, and how it looks and works when it ships.
You'll work directly with the founders and a small engineering team (NestJS, Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase) to design and manage the product roadmap for Revley's merchant-facing platform, admin console, and checkout experience.
What You'll Do
- Own the product roadmap in collaboration with the CEO and engineering team
- Conduct merchant research - understand pain points, workflows, and what's slowing them down
- Design UI/UX for Revley's merchant dashboard, checkout experience, subscription management, and admin tools
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs in Figma
- Write clear product specs and requirements that engineers can build from without ambiguity
- Prioritize features, manage the backlog, and make hard trade‑off decisions on scope
- Ship fast - we're a small team and product cycles are measured in days, not quarters
- QA your own designs - review implementations, catch issues, and iterate
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in product design, product management, or a combined role at a startup or high‑growth company
- Strong UI/UX portfolio - show us dashboards, admin tools, checkout flows, or SaaS products you've designed
- Proficiency in Figma
- Ability to write clear, concise product specs - not novels, not napkin sketches
- Experience working directly with engineers in a fast‑paced, async environment
- Comfort with ambiguity - you'll often define the problem before you solve it
- Strong written communication - Slack and docs are how we work
Strong Plus
- Experience with payments, fintech, or e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem
- Experience designing for subscription or recurring billing products
- Basic understanding of APIs and how frontend/backend systems interact
Compensation
Competitive base + equity + revenue share. Compensation discussed during the interview process.
How We Work
- Remote‑first, async‑heavy. NYC preferred for overlap with the team and merchants.
- Small team - under 15 people. You'll have direct access to the founders and engineering.
- We ship weekly. If you need a 6‑month roadmap and committee approval to launch a feature, this isn't for you.
