About the Product Design Team
The Product Design function is of significant importance at Yoco and, as such, is growing to match the ambitions of the organisation. It is an exciting time with many opportunities to leave a lasting and impactful mark on the broader industry and the world of commerce.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our team, working closely with the Design Lead and Design Manager on merchant and customer experiences.
What You Will Be Doing
Within your team/tribe
- Collaborate with the relevant Design Lead to contribute to the design of our ecosystem
- Participate in workshops with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring relevant input is integrated into the design work.
- Balance customer needs and usability with business goals and technical constraints.
- Participate in planning and prioritising your design work to ensure a balance between thoroughness and timely delivery.
- Design and test features and flows that bridge the relationship between our merchants and their consumers, across card machines, back-office software, and a growing suite of online products
Design Practice
- Collaborate with the Design Systems team and Brand team to ensure consistency and coherence in our experiences.
- Consume and contribute to the design and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
- Actively participate in the design community, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
About You
- Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity
- Bias towards actions and creating artefacts that bring clarity and drive alignment
- 3-5 years of experience designing and delivering complex software products in cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding and practical application of end-to-end design processes.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
- Curiosity-driven and adaptable, with a strong focus on customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Valuing team connection and bringing unique skills to the team.
