About the role
Context & Environment
Join us in the heart of Paris as a Product Designer, integrated into the Design Studio, a transverse team of approximately 20 designers. With your team, you will be responsible for improving the user experience across the digital products we build together. The team operates in an agile context at all levels of the organization, relying on collective intelligence to emerge innovative and transformative solutions for the Company's strategic challenges.
The Product Designer:
- Combines UX and UI Design expertise with a strong business sense to align design choices with business objectives.
- Operates within a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) logic and ensures product adoption by end-users.
- Translates strategic objectives into concrete digital products, working closely with Product Managers throughout the value chain, from framing to delivery.
Activities
The Product Designer is responsible for:
Framing, Research (User Research) and Strategy
- Identifies, analyzes and formalizes the needs, expectations and irritants of end users, in close collaboration with Product Managers, Product Owners, business experts and key users.
- Actively contributes to the framing phases of use cases, bringing a user-centered vision to the problem to be solved, the expected value and the target experience.
- Defines the profiles of future users and formalizes their needs and pain points (irritants) through deliverables such as personas, journey maps, or service blueprints.
- Conducts user interviews and immersions to deepen understanding of the context and problem space.
- Influences the overall product vision, integrating user, business, and technical issues.
Contribution of AI in the Product Designer role
- Uses AI-based tools as a design aid, serving the user and the product. AI enables idea exploration, user feedback synthesis, ideation, and prototyping, while improving collaboration with product and tech teams.
- Responsible for design choices, providing the necessary perspective, critical thinking, and discernment to ensure useful, simple, and consistent experiences.
Ideation and Co-design
- Leads ideation workshops (sketching, product vision) with multidisciplinary teams to translate needs into shared concepts.
- Defines the main user journeys (user flows) and structures the relationships between product information.
Design and Prototyping (UI/UX)
- Creates wireframes, mockups, and animated prototypes (low or high fidelity).
- Designs final mockups respecting existing UI Kits and Design Systems, while ensuring principles of ergonomics and digital accessibility.
- Ensures the visual, functional, and ergonomic consistency of the proposed solutions.
Validation and Testing
- Pilots user tests (qualitative and quantitative) to evaluate the relevance of solutions and formulates proposed improvement recommendations.
- Analyzes test results and formulates improvement recommendations.
Delivery and Implementation Monitoring
- Works closely with developers (pair design, acceptance) to ensure the quality of implementation.
- Accompanies developers to ensure a good understanding of design intentions and implementation quality.
- Monitors user satisfaction (SUS - System Usability Scale) and analyzes usage data to ensure product adoption.
Watch and Community
- Documents research work in a shared knowledge base with product teams (Design Checklist) and other designers in their team (UX repository).
- Collaborates with other members of the Design Studio to ensure consistency of practices.
- Participates in internal Studio projects (CoP design, evangelization) to disseminate good Design practices within the Company.
Candidate Profile
Qualification Level:
- Bac +5 / Master's or equivalent level
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, Miro.
- Awareness of Data Driven Design and digital accessibility.
Behavioral Skills:
- Results orientation, customer orientation, collaborative work, emotional intelligence, leadership, curiosity, communication, pedagogical skills, analytical and synthesis skills, listening skills, team spirit, ability to manage context switching, affirmed ability to influence product vision and collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams.
Language Skills:
- Fluent French - Practical English.
Specific Knowledge Required:
- Good knowledge of digital businesses.
- Knowledge of working in an agile environment.
Required Experience Level:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an equivalent role.
