About the role
We are hiring a Product Developer to work with our client's Product Management and Agile Product Development team to design, build, and enhance applications and services. You will develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages), with a strong focus on refactoring and improving Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting capabilities. This includes developing custom dashboards and implementing row-level security (RLS) to support user access and insights. You will support product enhancements in an Agile environment, translating requirements into scalable, user-focused solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to improve usability and workflows. You will also support CRM capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and integration with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow. You will work within DevSecOps-enabled environments and use modern tools, including built-in AI capabilities, to improve development efficiency and workflows. This role focuses primarily on Power Platform and Power BI development. Other areas (Dynamics, ServiceNow, DevSecOps, AI, cloud, and APIs) are supporting capabilities.US citizenship requiredAbility to obtain Public Trust is requiredThis position is hybrid; should be local to Bethesda, MD; must be on client site at least 2 x weekBasic Qualifications/You Have:4+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Experience building and enhancing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, including custom visualizations and row-level security (RLS) Experience developing solutions in low-code/no-code (LCNC) environments and working with data models and relationships Experience working in Agile development environments Understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts Experience working with or supporting ServiceNow-based workflows or integrations Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD and version controlFamiliarity with integrating systems using APIs or connectors within low-code platforms and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure)Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams Ability to proactively identify problems, recommend solutions, and implement improvements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination Additional Qualifications/Nice to Have Demonstrated experience enhancing Power BI dashboards, including improving usability, performance, or data models Demonstrated experience delivering or improving user-facing tools, dashboards, or applications Demonstrated experience refactoring or improving existing systems to enhance usability or performance Experience working across platforms such as Power Platform, ServiceNow, or CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics) Experience using AI or Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) or Power Platform AI capabilities Experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM Experience working in federal or research environments (e.g., NIH, HHS) Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Power BI) are a plus Existing HHS or NIH badge or active NIH Public Trust
