Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical design work on schedule and within budget, managing priorities effectively
- Develop engineering designs in accordance with internal procedures, industry regulations, and client standards
- Support product development through all stages, including prototyping, testing, and installation
- Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, hydraulics, and materials science
- Design and execute feasibility studies, testing methods, and validation processes
- Create and refine prototypes, fixtures, and jigs with a hands-on approach
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate customer requirements into manufacturable product designs
- Develop and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes, including equipment design and modification
- Ensure product and system quality through testing, validation, and continuous improvement
- Prepare technical documentation and reports, analyzing data and performance trends
- Maintain engineering databases and documentation systems
- Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, and installation phases
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project) and engineering databases
- Exposure to electrical or automation drafting is considered an asset
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, fixtures, jigs, and installation support
