About the role

Your Mission

Federate and lead the team of Watch Project Managers, coordinating the development of Panerai new products according to price, quality, and deadline criteria.

How will you make a difference?

Team Management

  • Manage the project managers team, ensuring the achievement of launch objectives.
  • Organize regular project reporting to the R&D, Operations, and Maison departments (planning, results, issues, budget, and risks) and ensure communication with key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to team members and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Set and evaluate team objectives, manage their performance, and develop their skills.
  • Manage team workload/capacity, build the budget (and its updates), and regularly monitor it.
  • Promote the Brand and Group values on a daily basis.

Interface Management with Key Internal Partners (Product, Quality, Supply Chain Production)

  • Consolidate needs (marketing briefs, medium/long-term orientation) as early as possible to provide maximum visibility on the launch plan.
  • Ensure a rapid response to briefs by proactively proposing industrial and effective solutions in terms of cost/quality and deadlines.
  • Manage interactions between Maison stakeholders on new product development (marketing, creation, technical, quality, purchasing, customer service, finance, and logistics).
  • Anticipate blocking points and request necessary arbitration.
  • Offer technical support to creation and analyze needs against industrial possibilities. Effectively communicate constraints while being proactive.
  • Ensure adherence to the schedule based on the launch date.
  • Monitor and control the progress of the product project portfolio, communicate progress and critical points (reporting, dashboards, flash reports...), and anticipate risks.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor the development method and its improvement, define and implement project management tools.
  • Ensure adherence to the different milestones (especially in terms of deliverables) of the development method.
  • Define, implement, and monitor relevant team performance indicators.
  • Ensure the accuracy and optimization of cost prices (with the Purchasing department).
  • Identify levers for improvement (sourcing, technical choices, construction modifications) to optimize product cost prices and/or improve quality.

Transverse Project Management

  • Organize the monitoring of supplier and competitor new products for sharing with the entire department and marketing and creation stakeholders.
  • Frame/manage transverse improvement projects and the implementation of product improvements.

What are the keys to your success within our Maison?

  • You have an engineering degree in microtechnology or an equivalent qualification and have confirmed experience in project management.
  • An excellent communicator and unifier, you have at least 3 years of experience in team management.
  • You are comfortable coordinating transverse technical projects (knowledge of watchmaking is mandatory) and have a great capacity for adaptation and simplification of information.
  • Proactive, you are curious and open-minded. You demonstrate excellent team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
  • You master usual computer tools (Excel, PPT ++). Programming skills (VBA, PBI...) are a plus.
  • You have a perfect command of French and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
