Product Engineering Manager

About

The Product Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating cross‑functional development activities for concept through prototype build and development completion. This role owns build execution, schedule coordination, material readiness, vendor management, issue tracking, and OEM partner alignment, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality expectations. The role operates at the intersection of engineering, operations, and supply chain in a fast‑paced product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage build execution, development schedules, BOMs, build matrices, and entry/exit criteria
• Ensure readiness of materials, tooling, documentation, and resources for prototype and development builds
• Drive on-time execution of builds while maintaining quality and program objectives
• Coordinate with Product Development, Design Engineering, Test/Reliability, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and vendors
• Track material sourcing, MIH/TIH status, inventory, and development consumables
• Manage vendor quotations, PO processing, invoicing, and cost tracking activities
• Oversee prototype shipment logistics, serial number tracking, and development packaging readiness
• Identify, track, and resolve engineering, quality, and supply chain issues during development cycles
• Collaborate with OEM partners and onsite facility teams to support development and manufacturing activities
• Maintain program documentation, risk mitigation plans, and project status updates
• Support secure storage, handling, and disposal of confidential development materials

Requirements

• 5–8 years of project/program management experience.
• Preferred experience with textiles, sewn assemblies, EVT/DVT/PVT builds, OEMs, and manufacturing vendors

Location

• Full-time onsite role within engineering labs, development spaces, and manufacturing environments
