About the role

About Us

We’re a fast-growing Payments Service Provider (PSP) startup building seamless, visually engaging payment experiences. As a UI/UX Motion Designer, you’ll bridge aesthetics and functionality by creating dynamic interfaces, micro-interactions, and motion-driven UX that simplify complex financial workflows. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our dashboards, onboarding flows, and transactional interfaces—turning friction into delight.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype animated UI components (e.g., loading states, transitions, data visualizations) to enhance usability in payment flows.
  • Collaborate with product teams to storyboard motion concepts that clarify financial processes (e.g., payment status, fraud alerts, analytics).
  • Conduct user testing on motion design to validate intuitiveness, especially for non-technical audiences.
  • Optimize conversion rates through motion-driven UX (e.g., animated CTAs, progress indicators).
  • Build Figma/After Effects prototypes to pitch motion design solutions to stakeholders.
  • Advocate for design system consistency while pushing creative boundaries for brand differentiation.
  • Stay ahead of fintech UX trends (e.g., neobanks, BNPL interfaces) and adapt insights to our PSP product.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in UI/UX design with motion graphics expertise, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or PSPs.
  • Portfolio showcasing interactive payment flows, micro-interactions, or data-driven animations.
  • Mastery of Figma, Adobe After Effects, Lottie, and prototyping tools (Principle, ProtoPie).
  • Experience designing for regulated industries (payments, banking) with a focus on compliance + clarity.
  • Understanding of Agile workflows and ability to iterate rapidly in a startup environment.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of front-end basics (CSS animations, SVG) to collaborate with developers.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape the visual identity of a disruptive PSP from the ground up.
  • Work on high-impact projects where motion design directly reduces user drop-offs.
  • Flexible, creative culture with a focus on innovation over bureaucracy.

Share your portfolio (highlighting motion/UX work) and a note on how you’d approach animating a payment confirmation sequence.
