About the role
The Product Lead - Project Control & Planning is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of one or several core business Digital Products supporting Project Planning, Project Control and Project Management processes.
Acting as the IT counterpart of the Business Product Owner, the Product Lead ensures the definition, evolution, implementation and run of the solutions.
The role brings functional, technical and methodological expertise to ensure alignment with Digiteam strategy, Digiteam standards and business work processes, while guaranteeing control over product direction, roadmap, architecture, costs, risks, compliance and performance, and driving continuous adaptation and improvement in response to evolving business needs and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Governance & Roadmap Management
- Partner with Business Product Owners to define, maintain, prioritize and arbitrate the roadmap of each product, balancing project initiatives, enhancements and run activities
- Apply and operate the established governance and operating framework for the product domain, including meeting cadence, responsibility framework and stakeholder alignment activities
- Lead and actively contribute to technical decision‑making in close collaboration with senior developers, architects and other digital product teams
- Drive alignment of product evolution with Digiteam strategy, ensuring strong focus on business priorities, value delivery and product adoption
Solution Architecture, Data, Compliance & Risk management
- Ensure the compliance of the solutions with the Global Practice Standards and the Digiteam standards, including enterprise architecture principles, cybersecurity requirements, data governance and data continuity standards, as well as AI‑related requirements
- Manage the products lifecycle and their related integration points with other products, including obsolescence and technical debt, in alignment with roadmaps defined by platform teams and other related product teams
- Ensure robustness, performance, scalability and maintainability of the solutions
- Ensure product compliance with the group Data strategy, including data continuity principles, secure and reliable integration with the T.EN Enterprise Data Platform
- Identify, assess and manage product‑related risks on a regular basis, in coordination with the Enterprise Risk Management team
Delivery, Implementation & Change
- Ensure that appropriate delivery and project management processes are applied across all initiatives within the product portfolio, in alignment with Digiteam standards and guidelines
- Lead the process of detailed technical planning for products evolutions
- Participate in solution design and architecture choices for new implementations or major evolutions, and ensure that user experience, usability and adoption considerations are fully addressed from the early design phases
- Coordinate implementation, testing and deployment activities in collaboration with IT projects and squad teams
- Ensure delivery quality, timelines, cost objectives and assigned OKRs are met
- Communicate product updates and progress to leadership team and other key stakeholders across the business
Financials, Resources management, Procurement & Business Case
- Establish business cases for project initiation of solution or functionality evolutions using a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach
- Manage product budget (run and projects) and financial forecasts
- Plan, manage and optimize the allocation of resources for each product, in alignment with P&C strategy and delivery priorities
- Provide technical and functional support to procurement for vendor selection and contract negotiations
- Monitor vendor performance, costs and service levels related to the solution
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze products performance, usage and KPIs
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, practices and processes
- Make recommendations for wider improvements across Digiteam solutions and practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product lifecycle management and service delivery practices
- Contribute to product innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance, strategic priorities and value delivery objectives
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7 to 10 years of experience in IT organizations including significant experience in IT solution or product management roles, with a focus on product development and operations
- Solid functional knowledge of Project Planning, Project Control and Project Management processes
- Customer oriented, quality minded, proactive approach and strong synthesis skills to anticipate, raise and effectively manage issues
- Ability to translate strategic and tactical business needs into tangible IT solutions, and to drive consensus and collaboration across many Disciplines and Business domains
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, and SaaS applications management
- Good understanding of solution architecture and system integration in a complex IT landscape, with a strong sensibility to Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Data architecture best practices, including Master Data Management, Data continuity, and Data governance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, and within international and multicultural environments, across both business and IT implementation contexts
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Well organized and able to prioritize workload among multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities, in line with tight deadlines and able to deal effectively with ambiguity & changing priorities
Nice to have
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, costs and service delivery
- Experience with ERP, Engineering, Procurement or Construction systems and their relative integration points (functional and technical) with Project Planning, Project Control and Project Management systems
- Exposure to agile @ scale frameworks (e.g. SAFe) and to project management methodologies such as PMI, Prince 2, APM, etc.
- Knowledge of data integration, BI and data governance
