About the role
Responsibilities: • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and market demands. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and unique selling points. • Product Development & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch iteration. Translate business objectives and customer needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, working closely with engineering and design teams. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central hub of communication, aligning diverse stakeholders including engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer support, and legal/compliance teams. • Compliance & Risk Management: Partner closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all features and processes meet financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, data privacy standards), balancing innovation with security and trust. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess product success. Use data analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to inform decisions and optimise product performance. • Customer Advocacy: Act as the "voice of the customer," conducting user research and gathering feedback to deeply understand pain points and ensure a user-centric product experience.
Requirements: • Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of direct product management experience is essential, ideally within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry. A proven track record of launching successful products in a fast-paced environment is highly valued. • Fintech Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial concepts, digital payment systems, lending, or investment platforms, along with the complex regulatory landscape. • Technical Fluency: Comfort with technology and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers on APIs, system architecture, and software development processes (Agile/Scrum methodologies are a must). • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis (e.g., SQL, Excel, Amplitude) to extract insights and make informed decisions. • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills to influence without authority and rally teams around a shared vision. A high degree of user empathy and a problem-solving mindset are critical.
